A new search for a Publisher at an independent publishing house based in East London to start in early December has begun. The client are offering a basic salary of £30k with a commission structure that is very lucrative. The role involves working with advertising, sales, project managing an editorial team in print media which you control and are fully responsible for.
As an independent publishing house that has an exclusive agreement with one of the major national daily newspapers as well as online offerings, you will be required to come up with titles/topics for 16 page special reports (supplements), sell them to relevant companies and then produce the content using a team of selected journalists and designers.
This role holds a lot of responsibility and is highly rewarding and will require commercial acumen as well as an element of creativity due to the conceptual thinking required along with working with an editorial team who you are responsible for.
A proven track record of concept/solution sales is required as well as being confident, presentable and well spoken, as you will be pitching to marketing managers up to CEO. You will manage your own time, budgets, editorial team while achieving sales targets.
This is an extremely rewarding role in a high-paced and profitable sales environment . You will be on a basic salary of £30k for the first year. A realistic OTE is £55k top earners at the company are taking home £70k+
The company are looking to move into the financial and pharmaceutical industries so candidates with recent sales experience in selling to decision makers within these industries are encouraged to apply.
You do not need to have any previous experience in the media industry as comprehensive training is given, however great sales, communication, networking and relationship building skills are a pre-requisite.
