Description

A new role to work as a Publisher, based in Holborn, for a global Internet media company is now available with a basic salary of £35-50k and an immediate start.
Company Description:
Our client is the worlds largest and most trusted publisher of travel and entertainment deals, with 24 million weekly subscribers. They follow a one-of-a-kind process to source, verify and alert subscribers to the very best travel and entertainment offers.
Responsibilities will include:
Delivering exciting and enticing content for our publications
Coordinating with a team of producers and Business Development Managers to make a highly respected product even more effective
Responsible for submission and approval process through headlines, imagery, captions and copy to post-publish updates and subscriber feedback
Pushing boundaries with the continuous pro-active optimisation/development of the Local Deals publications for the local market
Maintaining the editorial integrity of the publications and ensuring all team members have a clear grasp of what it is
Ensuring smooth flow of the process by ensuring deadlines are met and, where necessary, implementing new copy flow deadlines to accommodate publishing, producer and client needs, while adopting the new days/times to improve writing/editing and content quality and feedback cycles
Editing, subbing and final proof reading of all content; ensure version/headline balance and order
Validating all offer submissions by checking supplied research and conducting independent research to ensure each deal is of sufficient calibre
Guiding the business to optimise delivery, revenue and performance by developing key performance metrics and analytics
Assisting in the training and development of the production team to ensure all content is top class
Working with Business Development Managers to secure a bank of editorial submissions from potential clients
Candidate profile:
Degree educated (or equivalent experience)
Several years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally acquired in an online media company or in a fast-paced, high-growth company, with a focus on online content management
Thorough understanding of editorial and journalistic principles
Understanding of an online business with its unique subscriber base model
Successful track record of managing online campaigns (knowledge of campaign analytics and tracking mechanisms)
Excellent knowledge of the UK travel industry
